Sara Bergman’s Biography

Sara Bergman is a self-made artist. She embarked on a new chapter after retiring earlier this year from a long career in the financial and business travel industry, embracing a life filled with creativity and artistic pursuit.

Five years ago, Sara's dormant talent for painting surfaced during a holiday with her husband at their summer residence in Dalarna. Quite serendipitously, she stumbled upon an array of brushes, canvases, and paint materials left behind by her mother-in-law in the attic. Prompted by this discovery, Sara decided to experiment.

Throughout her life, art has consistently resonated with her, driving her to explore various exhibitions and museums to broaden her horizons. Sara draws inspiration from a range of sources, with a particular affinity for nature, urban environments, landscapes, waterways, and the sea.

Working predominantly with acrylics, Sara's artistic inclination often gravitates towards the creation of abstract pieces, though she occasionally delves into more concrete motifs. While frequently sourcing inspiration from photographs, these serve as the initial spark for her creative process, which then takes on its own distinct shape, form, and trajectory.
